This year as a whole has been rather difficult for international clubs and events, but I did try to do things that I thought could count. For example, I sat in on a conference with Professor Charles Finocchiaro and a literature prof from Brazil discussing Biden’s impact on Latin American politics. They did not seem to think that US foreign policy would change much but that it might remove some of the momentum from populist leaders like Bolsonaro. I also participated in some discussions with some people on how to stay globally engaged in the pandemic and something about the Holocaust and humor in it. Unfortunately, both the Anime and French clubs have been inactive, despite my having tried to get them to do things. Hopefully this will be enough.
